Donor FAQ

Fair questions, honest answers.

Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Sina Primary Health is a 501(c)(3) public charity (EIN: 39-3930757); gifts are deductible to the full extent allowed by law, and you’ll receive a receipt for every donation.

How does my money actually reach Pakistan?

Your gift goes to Sina Primary Health in the U.S. Our board then makes compliant transfers to our collaborating partner, SINA HealthSystems Foundation in Karachi, following U.S. rules for international charitable giving, with documentation and reporting for every transfer.

How much goes to programs?

Our online platform charges no fees, our U.S. board is all-volunteer, and overhead is minimal by design — the overwhelming share of every dollar funds care. SINA’s own costs are published per patient and per program, which is exactly how we present them above.

Can I direct my gift to something specific?

Yes — pick any program tile above and note it with your gift (online note field or check memo): medicines, labs, mental health, solar, a mobile clinic, or adopting a clinic. Cities and groups can co-sponsor a clinic serving 500–1,000 patients a month.

Who verifies the work in Karachi?

SINA is ISO 9001 certified, certified by the Pakistan Centre for Philanthropy, publishes audited financial statements, and runs a fully digital EMR — patient counts and program costs come from system data, not estimates.
